Hattiesburg Horror

Good Monday morning from MSNewsNow's Brandon Artiles!

As we dry out after Sunday's soaking don't count on the rain letting up today. Meteorologist Paul Williams will let us know what we need to be prepared for in his First Alert Forecast.

At least today's rain won't be accompanied by violent winds, which is what south Mississippi received yesterday.  Hattiesburg is starting to heal after a tornado caused extensive damage.  More than a dozen people suffered injuries and impacts of the storm could be seen all over the Univ. of Southern Miss campus.

Hundreds of volunteers across the southeast are mobilizing to help pick up the pieces in the Hub City. Jessica Bowman will join us live with representatives from the Salvation Army in the Jackson/Metro area to let us know how they are assisting and how you can help.

Plus, how will more rain compromise Jackson's already fragile drainage system? Homeowners across the Capital City get ready for more flash flooding after being water-logged Sunday.

All those stories and much more are headed your way at the top of the hour.

Please join us from 5 to 7 and for more Mississippi storm coverage follow us over to Fox 40 from 7 to 9.

Have a safe and great Monday!
