Two mobile homes were destroyed by fire Tuesday morning in Copiah County. One of them belonged to the Mayor of Beauregard.
Linda Harris wasn't at home at the time of the fire, but her neighbors say there was a lot of lightning in the area at the time. The home was located on Bahala Road.
The other fire was reported around 9:30 AM at 1032C Hansen Street, just south of the Hazlehurst city limits.
Four departments battled that blaze, but couldn't save the mobile home.
Two people escaped uninjured, but 61-year-old Marvin Reed was taken to the hospital because the smoke aggravated his asthma.
