Picayune Resident Arrested for Possession of Child Porn

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Forty-one year old Michael Alan Buckley of Picayune was arrested Wednesday for one count of possession of child pornography.

His arrest followed  an undercover Internet investigation by the Louisiana State Police and the Mississippi Attorney General's Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

"We have put extra resources into our cyber staff and their training over the past year and we are coming after anyone downloading child porn in our state," said Attorney General Jim Hood.

Buckley was booked into the Pearl River County Detention Center following his arrest. His bond was set at $40,000.

If convicted, he faces up to 40 years behind bars.
