Ex-boyfriend accused of beating woman with cane

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Bordeaux woman was taken to the hospital after police said her ex-boyfriend broke into her home and attacked her.

Police said Bryant Kelley broke into her home and beat her with a cane on County Hospital Road.

Kelley said he was coming to her home despite her saying no. Investigators said he pushed in the air conditioning unit and broke in through the window.

A fight broke out and the man hit her with an aluminum cane.

Kelley fled the scene and stole the victim's purse, but was later arrested and charged with aggravated burglary. 

The woman had to be taken to General Hospital with injuries.
