Suspect sought in drive-by shooting

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson police have issued a warrant for a suspect in a drive-by shooting last month.

Twenty-seven-year-old Brandis Banks is wanted for aggravated assault stemming from the Jan. 1 incident, according to a press release from JPD.

The victim in the shooting reportedly told police he was at Greenway Drive and Robinson Road Ext. when the suspect pulled up beside him and fired multiple shots into his vehicle. The victim was struck once and his vehicle was struck multiple times.

Anyone with information on Banks is asked to call Jackson police at 601-960-1234.
