SACRAMENTO, CA (CBS ATLANTA) -

Gas prices are climbing so high, some auto dealerships in California are making potential customers pay the price.

Gas is more than $5 a gallon in Los Angeles, and more than $4 a gallon in Sacramento. That's why several dealerships are now charging for test drives.

Business owners say the cost of driving has gone up, and they can't afford to fill up the tanks without passing the cost on to customers.
