PEARL, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Pearl police say a traffic violation on Interstate 20 early Wednesday morning led to the discovery of 7 kilograms of cocaine and arrest of the vehicle's driver.

Lt. Butch Townsend says the cocaine, which has a street value of $315,000, was hidden inside the BMW SUV. Officers stopped the vehicle after it crossed the fog line near the Pearson Road exit.

Saul Camacho Silva, of Athens, GA, was arrested and charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to deliver. He is being held in the Rankin County jail.

Townsend said the value of the drugs would be even more once it was processed for street sale.
