Temeka is spending her first year in high school. She wants to tell all the stories to her younger sister but they live in separate foster homes. She and her sister have been featured several times and they still want to be adopted. This week on Wednesday's Child Temeka hopes they are one step closer to finding a forever family.

Temeka is the voice of reason. She says for the most part she enjoys being in high school.

"It is fun, boring, and drama. What is the drama? A whole bunch of he said and all kinds of crazy stuff. Really, how do you avoid the drama or do you just laugh about it? Sometimes I laugh about it, sometimes I just be like oh my God", said Temeka.

Temeka is involved with the JROTC program, she enjoys reading, dancing, spending time with her friends but most importantly with her sister.

"Well we like to go to the bowling alley, go to the movies, we'll sit at home, watch TV, text, talk on the phone about stuff. Sometimes we'll work together or we'll just talk about secrets and all kinds of good stuff", Temeka said.

Temeka says this is the first time she has been able to create her own designs. She says it is a great feeling to know you can come up with an idea and then design it. Temeka says designing jewelry would be a great hobby but she has other plans for a career.

"I think I want to be a doctor. Well I know for sure I want to be a doctor. Really. Why did you choose medicine? Because I see there are a lot of sick people in the world that need help", said Temeka.

Social workers say Temeka would be happiest with a family who is involved, and fun loving.

"I like parents that like to go out and just go, go overseas, and just go anywhere, just take a road trip anywhere. Just don't like to be at the house all the time", Temeka said.

Temeka says she is excited about being sweet 16, but there is nothing sweet about not having a permanent place to call home.
