YAZOO COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A Yazoo County inmate is still on the loose. Eric Williams, 24, escaped from the Yazoo County Regional Correctional Facility Friday night. Williams is a black male, 5'11" weighing about 170 pounds.

Investigators say Williams may be armed and has family members in southern Yazoo County.

Yazoo County Sheriff Jacob Sheriff said Williams changed clothes at some point and it is unclear what he might be wearing at this point.

Investigators say Williams has escaped from officers before but was quickly apprehended. Williams was jailed on grand larceny, failure to comply and felony escape charges.

Authorities are not sure how Williams escaped, but the incident is being investigated. Early Saturday morning Sheriff explained there could have been multiple escaped inmates, but an investigation revealed Williams is the only escapee.

If you have any information, contact the Yazoo County Sheriff's Department at 662-746-5611.
