Woman struck and killed by vehicle

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A woman is dead after being struck by a vehicle in Jackson Saturday morning. Officer Colendula Green said the accident happened at the intersection of Highway 18 and Siwell Road just after 5:30 A.M.

The Hinds County Coroner said the victim is an unidentified black woman, who appears to be between 35 and 40 years old. The victim, who didn't have any identification on her, was walking northbound on Highway 18 when she was struck by a car.

The accident was not a hit and run.
