Get bejeweled at the Mississippi Trade Mart this weekend

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

If you like glitz, glam and gems the Mississippi Trade Mart on the Mississippi Fairgrounds is the place to get bejeweled this weekend.

Gems, jewelry, fossils and minerals are on display at the Mississippi Gem and Mineral Society's 54th annual show. Dozens of artists are on hand to show off and sell one of a kind treasures created out of precious gemstones and eye catching jewelry in all sorts of shapes and sizes.

One neat aspect of the show is artists are on hand to show you how to make jewelry out of what ordinarily wouldn't seem like a treasure.

The show wraps up at 6 p.m. Saturday. It continues on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
