Clean up continued Saturday after train derailment Friday

Cleanup continued Saturday in a train derailment that happened in south Jackson Friday.

A public affairs official with Canadian National said, it's expected to continue throughout the weekend.

One track was re-opened sometime overnight.

The train derailment happened about half a mile south of the McDowell Road Crossing.

Friday's derailment caused the closure of the entire system between Jackson and New Orleans, rerouting Amtrak City of New Orleans through Hattiesburg.
