Paul earned the American Meteorological Society Television Seal of Approval while working with an NBC affiliate in St. Louis, Missouri.

In 1993, Paul left WLBT for a larger market opportunity in St. Louis, at KSDK-TV. After his three year stay in St. Louis, Paul was recruited by WTIC-TV in Hartford, Connecticut, to serve as their Chief Meteorologist for the award winning FOX affiliate. During his stay in Hartford, WLBT developed a need for a seasoned meteorologist to fill in the vacant morning weather slot. WLBT called and Paul gladly answered to come back home, closer to family and his favorite professional family at WLBT.

So far, Paul has instituted the "Hometown Forecast," which is a detailed look at the forecast for small towns and communities in Mississippi. Paul's expertise in computer graphics and meteorological analytical models also add another dimension to the morning show. His utilization of WLBT's Storm Tracker was put to the test as soon as he arrived, showcasing his knowledge of storm systems and detailed reports on height, strength and even potential hail formation of storms.

Paul is committed to reaching the community with weather related projects for education programs in Mississippi school systems.  Paul's Greatest Accomplishment: Becoming a Christian and a member of the Church of Christ. He now preaches for the Metro East Church of Christ.
