6 tax prep companies receive 'F' from BBB

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Last year at this time, Mo' Money Taxes had many Jackson area residents wondering what happened to their refunds. All they got was promises, but the bottom line was there was no money at Mo' Money.

The Better Business Bureau offices in Mississippi, Tennessee and Arkansas gave the company an F rating and they drew scrutiny from the U. S. Justice Department.

This year, there are a few other companies you should be wary of when selecting a tax service. The BBB has given the following tax preparation companies an F rating:

After seeing the MSNewsNow.com report, Jackson Hewitt responded to a customer's complaint with the BBB, and their previous rating of an 'F' has been changed to "Not Rated."
