Nashville's popular summer outdoor movie series will have a new home under the stars this season.
Thousands attend the free film showings every year, and this year the Movies in the Park will be at Elmington Park in west Nashville.
The event used to be at Centennial Park, but two years ago there was a shooting nearby just as a movie wrapped up.
Metro police increased security as a result, and last year, Movies in the Park moved to Percy Warner Park even though parks officials and event organizers said it was not in response to the shooting.
The series kicks off in June and runs four weeks.
Parking will be available on the side of the park near West End and Bowling Avenues as well as at West End Middle School.
Organizers have not yet released the list of movies they plan to show this year.
