HINDS COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
The cyclist seriously injured in a case of road rage in Hinds County last week is out of the hospital.
After a five-day stay at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Henry Corley went home Saturday night. He suffered a fractured skull and a subdural hematoma last Tuesday, as he rode his bike along Springridge Road just outside of Byram.
A motorist had driven too closely, and Corley held up three fingers, signaling the law affording him three feet of space on the road. The motorist stopped his truck, got out, and proceeded to assault Corley. There was also a passenger in the truck, who took no action as the attack occurred.
Meanwhile, Corley's wife Michelle, says that friends are organizing a collection to offer a monetary reward for anyone with information leading to an arrest.
Hinds County deputies continue to search for a man in his 30s with a blonde military style haircut. He stands about 6'2" with a muscular build. He was in a maroon four door American model pickup with a specialty tag.
Call the Hinds County Sheriff's Department if you have any information.
