PEARL, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The Pearl Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a man they say stole hundreds of dollars from his roommate and hasn't been seen since.

Cruise Smith, 23, is wanted for grand larceny. Police say in the early morning hours of Feb. 13, Smith took his roommate's wallet from their residence and left with it. The wallet contained $645 in cash.

Lieutenant Butch Townsend says after stealing the wallet, Smith did not return to the the home and has not been seen or heard from since. Charges have been pressed and a warrant for Smith has been issued. Anyone with any information is asked to contact this Pearl Police Department at 601-932-3574.

Police describe Smith, as approximately 5'8", 130 lbs., brown hair and hazel eyes. He was last seen driving a 2004 black Pontiac Grand Am with Rankin county plates RFK-431. The car had Florida Gator memorabilia in the back glass as well as a Florida Gator license plate holder on the front of the vehicle.
