JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Jackson Police have arrested 21-year-old Vincent Dwight Smith in connection with multiple house burglaries in the Southpark Drive and Fondren communities.

In one of the burglaries, the suspect was seen in video footage on a scooter after taking his stolen items to the curb in trash bags. A few minutes later he drove up in a pick-up truck and picked up the bags.

Police identified the truck, which led to the identity of the suspect.

Smith was arrested Friday afternoon. He's charged with six counts of house burglary and additional charges are pending.
