Kids at MS Children's Museum explored outer space at 'NASA Day"

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Instead of just hanging out at home lots of kids and adults took a trip to outer space earlier Saturday!

Well that's what the Mississippi Children's Museum wanted it to feel like for guests during "NASA Day."

Kids and their parents pretended to be astronauts during the fun filled event. Also, young robotics teams showed small children how to control robots hoping to encourage them to explore careers in engineering and science.

The kids also took part in more fun stuff like making edible Mars rovers.
