JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
Bikers rolled through north Jackson Sunday afternoon and received a blessing for state travels.
Motorcycle groups from across the state and southeast gathered at stronger hope church for the annual "Blessing of the Bikes".
Fallen cyclists were remembered in a ceremony. Many were there for fellowship and to get to know other riders. Tips on what gear to wear on the road and safe driving instructions were also given.
"All the motorcyclists in the area get together as one and bring forth unity, that's really important. Then as we go out, it's always good to put god first while we're out on these motorcycles because a lot of people are aware they are dangerous, and we have to be sure we're blessed and handle everything properly," said motorcyclist, Dwight Payton.
Sunday marked the third year the blessing of the bikes has been held at stronger hope church.
