Supporters rally behind Fran Bridges

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The qualifying deadline has passed for municipal elections, but candidates are still pushing their message.

Supporters of Fran Bridges stood by her Sunday afternoon as she talked about the issues facing Jackson's Ward 5.

Three other candidates have reportedly filed to run against her, including incumbent Charles Tillman.

The primary election will be May 7.
