The Fuel Time store owner says he gave his son and wife a deposit bag with more than $15,000 in it to take to the bank as a deposit for the business.

Jackson Police have arrested one suspect in the Fuel Time gas station bank deposit robbery that occurred Tuesday afternoon. Twenty-two year old Jabari Peterson is in custody and charged with armed robbery.
The Fuel Time owner says he gave his son and his wife a deposit bag with more than $15,000 in it to take to the bank as a deposit for the business. He adds that the family takes the deposit at the same time each day.
"Might be they were watching like we go everyday at this time bank and
having money bag in our hand," said store owner Rajinder Singh.
As the son and his mother left the store just before 2 p.m., they
noticed a white car following them as they were getting onto Interstate
220. The store owner says someone in the white car fired a gunshot into
the air and pulled alongside his son's truck and shouted for the son to
pull over at the next exit.
"Showed a gun first and then shot in the air and they said move your truck over there. Take an exit, take an exit," said Singh.
The son said his mother started crying. So, he did as the men told him and pulled over at the exit.
"One
guy was in the car, he was driving. And another came out with a gun and
he said give the money in the bag and they take the bag and they just
gone 220 North," explained Singh.
A second suspect is still at large.
