62-year-old man shot multiple times

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Officer Colendula Green with the Jackson Police Department confirmed an early morning shooting sent a 62 year-old man to the hospital.

The shooting occurred around 7:30 a.m. Saturday morning at 202 Factory Street.

The victim was shot in the back and arm. He was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Jackson Police tell WLBT a suspect was apprehended; however, an arrest has not been confirmed.

Police are not certain what events transpired and lead to the shooting.

The incident is under investigation.
