CANTON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Three men were injured after the driver of a vehicle fell asleep at the wheel on Interstate 55 Sunday night.

Canton Police Chief Vicki McNeil says Orlando Patt fell asleep and his car slammed head-on into a tree north of the Nissan plant on I-55 in Canton just after 8 p.m. McNeal says the men had been to the St. Paddy's Parade, which was Saturday in Jackson, but alcohol was not a factor.

Bradley Coleman and his brother were also injured. Police haven't released details on the men's injuries.
