Pearl baseball coaches resign after spring break trip

The Pearl Public School District confirms two Pearl High School baseball coaches were forced to resign and several students were disciplined after a violation of school policy.

District spokesperson Kim LaFontaine says the resignations came after an incident on an out-of-state trip with the baseball team over spring break.

The coaches involved are Justin Gros and Chris Lyle, according to the school district.

In an emailed state to WLBT, the district stated, "because this situation involves both personnel matters and student discipline, no further details can be disclosed."
