NATCHEZ, MS (AP) - A 20-year-old Natchez man has been sentenced in a 2011 botched robbery that turned deadly.

The Natchez Democrat reports Davarious Clemons pleaded guilty Wednesday to the lesser charge of manslaughter.

Circuit Court Judge Forrest Johnson sentenced Clemons to 20 years for manslaughter and 45 years for armed robbery. The two sentences are to run concurrent.

Clemons was 19 when he arrested for the Oct. 7, 2011, killing of 30-year-old Cedric Morgan which he pleaded not guilty in April.
