JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The Great Southern Motorcycle Expo continued this weekend with rider safety in mind.

Mississippi Motosteps Motorcycle Safety Training held a demonstration to deter impaired riding and driving.

Participants put on "Drunk Goggles" and tried to walk a straight line.

Your motor skills are tested as you walk to the end of the line and then try to retrieve a green cone.

WLBT's Roslyn Anderson took the test and did not do well trying to maneuver and manage the task with blurred vision.

"A lot of people don't understand what it is to be impaired. they're thinking that sometimes impaired means just drinking and driving, but also impaired is also with drugs, taking illegal prescription drugs also," said MS Motosteps Motorcycle Safety CEO Robert Walton.

People also signed a pledge to drive without distractions and be considerate of other vehicles on the road.
