Kids' exercises build strong adult bones

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Playing catch with your kids or shooting hoops could help protect their bones!

Researchers in Sweden followed nearly 2,500 kids for six years.

Some got 40 minutes of daily gym time at school. Many others had far less physical activity one hour of gym class per week.

Children who got more exercise suffered fewer broken bones and had an increase in spine bone mineral density. This was true for both girls and boys.
