Opening statements were made in the trial of a seasoned Jackson Police Officer accused of taking a bribe in exchange for granting a field release.

Plus, a prosecutor told the state Supreme Court a Mississippi woman may not have intended to kill her unborn child when she took drugs but her actions showed negligence toward the health of the fetus and she should be tried.

And, Aaaachooo! After two consecutive years in fourth place, Jackson has risen to the No. 1 spot and has been crowned the Spring Allergy Capital.
