Three people were killed in a one car accident on I-55, south of Grenada, late Tuesday afternoon. All three were from Paducah, Kentucky.
Sgt. Ben Williams of the Mississippi Highway Patrol says it appears the driver, 77-year-old Diana Carroll, drifted off to sleep. There were no signs of skid marks where the car hit a guard rail and flipped several times.
Carroll was wearing a seatbelt, but her two passengers were not. Sixty-five-year old Robert Daniels and 52-year-old Brenda Daniels were both ejected.
The accident occurred around 4:30 Tuesday afternoon near mile marker 200.
