RIDGELAND, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

All forms of art are being celebrated this weekend in Ridgeland.

Hundreds flock to the Fifth Annual Ridgeland Fine Arts Festival at the Renaissance at Colony Parkway.

More than 80 artists from across the country and Canada, as well as Mississippi artisans are displaying their creations for sale.

Lively music, food and activities for the kids are spread throughout the venue.

Organizers said it is a great way to enjoy the state's cultural heritage and support the arts.

"And the interesting part of it, it's an atmosphere where the artists are right here and you can visit them one on one, understand their art and their inspiration for their art and know a bit about the piece that you're about to buy," said Mary Beth Wilkerson, deputy director of the Ridgeland Tourism Commission.

The festival wrapped up Saturday at 6p.m.

The festival continues Sunday from 1-6 p.m.
