(WMC-TV) - Memphis police are investigating the shooting death of a 25-year-old woman at a Hickory Hill apartment building.
It has been nine days since Renisha Johnson was found dead inside the apartment near the intersection of Winchester Road and Ridgeway Road.
Tenants are antsy as they wait for the case to be solved.
"I live here. I pay bills here, so I want to live in a safe environment," said Drew Duncan, who has lived in the apartment complex since 2009.
Duncan says he likes his home, but now he lives next door to a murder scene.
"Nobody's heard anything so I wonder if used a silencer or anything," he said.
Investigators say Johnson had been shot, but they do not know who pulled the trigger, why, or even when.
"It's like a slap in the face because we want justice and if we can't have justice who else can we trust," said Duncan.
MPD describes this case as its crime of the week. If you can help solve it investigators ask you call Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH.
