Fresh From the Flame - Shrimp BLT

  • 8 slices of bacon
  • 1/4 cup of remoulade sauce*
  • 3/4 pound large shrimp, boiled and peeled
  • 1-2 tablespoons butter
  • Loaf of french bread, toasted
  • 1 large tomato, thinly sliced
  • Lettuce leaves


In a large nonstick skillet fry bacon until crisp and drain. Spread butter on french bread and toast.

To assemble spread remoulade sauce on the bread and layer bacon, lettuce, tomato and shrimp.

*Remoulade sauce:

  • 2 cups of mayonnaise
  • 2/3 cups of Creole mustard
  • 1/8 cup lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/4 cup capers, rinsed, drained, chopped
  • Dash or two of Tabasco sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
