RANKIN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A woman and a toddler were transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center after a two-vehicle crash in Rankin County Thursday afternoon.

According to Cpl. Odis Easterling with the Mississippi Highway Patrol, a Honda Accord traveling south on Highway 469 near the Rankin-Simpson county line lost control and hit a Chevrolet Avalanche that was northbound.

The Chevy ran off the road and overturned. Easterling said a 22-month-old and a female driver in the Chevy both suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Both were properly restrained.

No one was injured in the Honda Accord.
