(RNN) - Say certain words, and you automatically think summer. It is perhaps the one season that resonates with our senses more perfectly than any other.

It's difficult to narrow down just a few of the great things about the middle three months of the year, but let's try.

Best of: Wedding reception speeches

You can listen to 100 of them and pretty much hear the same thing every time. It's like some universal outline got passed around that everyone has to adhere to.

But one creative lady decided to go against the grain in a way that was nothing short of spectacular.

Thank you, Jennifer Gabrielli, for debunking the myth that entertaining wedding reception speeches are only done by drunken people.

Best of: Baseball

Baseball has been synonymous with summer since the beginning of time (OK, the late 1800s. Let's not be so technical).

The point is, for people who really love the game, it's hard to imagine this time of year without it.

And then there are people who really, really love the game, like Arizona catcher Miguel Montero, who probably should tone his love down a little bit.

Best of: Fireworks shows

Once again, something else that seems to make summer complete.

For most folks older than 12, these things don't get too exciting after the first dozen or so times you've seen them.

And along comes a man who pretty much turns his right hand into a pyrotechnics display.

Best of: Amusement park rides

One young man's trip on an indoor roller coaster very quickly went from sweet to sour.

It's hard to feel bad for him because it turned into an unbearably cute moment.

Best of: Reasons kids need more constructive activities

There's just no adequate way to describe what you're about to see.
