Kids are influenced by parents' TV time

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

How much time a child spends in front of the T-V depends on their parents' viewing habits.

A new study out of the University of Pennsylvania finds each hour a parent spent watching T-V resulted in an additional half hour of viewing time for their children. Parents spent about four hours a day watching T-V.

Parents' T-V habits played a larger role in kid T-V time than rules about viewing, and whether they had a T-v in their bedroom.

The researchers say the best way to restrict the amount of time your kids spend in front of the T-V is to be a good role model, and turn it off!
