Grand jury looks into Hinds County Jail

It's beautiful Thursday afternoon in the Jackson metro area. I'm Howard Ballou with a look at some of the news stories you will see on WLBT.

The Hinds County jail is again under scrutiny, this time by a grand jury. Judge Tommie Green has ordered a special re-convening of the grand jury to meet about the troubled facility.

Plus, charges have been filed in two counties against two Bentonia men in connection with the shooting death of a Jackson man on Highway 49 last weekend.

Also, an SUV went through a store window on County Line Road, in Ridgeland this morning. Fortunately, no one was injured.
