This week's Wednesday's Child put his feelings on canvas. 14 year old Austin says art is a great way to express yourself. He is now hoping to find a forever family willing to listen, embrace him, and give him a permanent place to call home.
Austin says he enjoys art and quite often draws as an outlet.
"This is for my sister, my little sister. How old is she? She's 12", said Austin.
He enjoys fishing and playing football. Austin was a member of his school choir and band. His favorite sport is baseball.
"I like to play tennis and I like to horse play", Austin said.
In addition to creating artistic pieces, Austin says he likes to play pool, Play Station II and arcade games. He got a guitar for Christmas and wants to learn to play. He's also learning to work with leather.
"It's a hard thing to do. I can't catch up, but I do it. So what have you made so far? I made a belt, wallet, a business card holder and a belt buckle", said Austin.
Social workers say Austin has said he wants to be a preacher or astronaut.
"Well I want to be an astronaut, a baseball player, a major league baseball player, a fisherman, a run for cancer", Austin said.
Adoption workers say Austin would do well with a mother and father, or a single father with older or no children, where Austin can be the youngest child.
"I would like loving, caring, someone that would take care of me, that would trust me and help me in school", said Austin.
On his wish list for a family, Austin says he wants a dog and his own room. He also hopes to live in the country where he can climb trees.
