Skycopter reports an accident on Old Brandon Road under Interstate 55.
MDOT reports one accident on Interstate 20 westbound at Gallatin Street (Exit 45A).
JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
Flowood police say six people were transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center after a crash on Old Brandon Road under Interstate 55 Thursday afternoon.
Two of the victims had critical injuries, according to Flowood police dispatcher. Two vehicles were involved -- a white Honda Accord and a gray Mazda. No other details were released.
The crash temporarily shut down traffic on Old Brandon Road.
Another crash caused traffic to back up in the metro.
The Mississippi Department of Transportation reported an accident on Interstate 20 westbound at Gallatin Street (Exit 45A). Skycopter reported at least three vehicles appeared to be involved in that crash, which was on the bridge over Gallatin Street.
