LINCOLN COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

A former middle school principal will spend the next 20 years in prison after being convicted of touching a child for lustful purposes.

Jason Case, 37, was sentenced Monday to the maximum penalty of 15 years for one count and 15 years with 10 years suspended for the second count.

District Attorney Dee Bates says the case involved a foster child that was in Case's Lincoln County home for several months in early 2011. At the time of the crime, Case was the principal at Hazlehurst Middle School.

Case was found not guilty on similar charges in February. The district attorney said those charges were related to a different foster child who was in Case's home for a short period of time in late 2011.

Case is now in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
