JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -
Jackson State will open the 2013 football season in the Big Easy.
JSU opens the season Thursday against Tulane at the New Orleans Super Dome.
It's a venue a lot of the Tigers are looking forward to playing in.
The Tigers opened in Starkville last season and while the Super Dome might be a bit intimidating, it all comes down to playing football.
"It's going to be exciting, but you know last year we played Mississippi State so we've played upper competition. We know what we have to do in order to be successful. Once the lights come down and everybody just plays football and executes, I think we'll be fine," said JSU defensive lineman Armon Carter.
"Playing in the Super Dome, this is my first time. First experience. Tulane is going to be a good team. A fast team. That's always good for us to see competition that is a little better," said wide receiver Zachary Pendleton.
