E-Cigarettes might be chemical-laden

JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

The French National Consumers Institute issued a report saying that E-cigarettes aren't as harmless as manufacturers make them out to be.

The report states that e-cigarettes can be dangerous and contain a number of chemicals that are carcinogenic. They include acrolein and acetaldeyde.

The Institute studied 10 reusable and disposable E-cigarettes. The editor of the Institute's magazine said E-cigarettes shouldn't be banned, but they should be regulated more.

The Institute also criticized some models because they didn't have safety caps because nicotine levels contained in the liquid content of E-cigarettes can be lethal to children.
