"Dream" celebrated 50 years later

Good Wednesday morning from MSNewsNow's Brandon Artiles!

It's an unseasonably crisp 67 degrees this morning and meteorologist Michael Haynes will let us know when nature's thermostat will crank back up in his First Alert Forecast.

Happening today, attention will be on Washington for two reasons today. First, the nation celebrates and remembers the March on Washington where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., delivered his "I Have a Dream Speech" 50 years ago. NBC's Tracie Potts will join us live from D.C. with previews of the day's events.

While President Barack Obama will address the crowd at the March on Washington commemoration, the world anticipates his decision on Syria. Will the United States take military action against the Bashir Al-Assad regime?

Plus, medical examiner's will be trying to determine the identity and cause of death for a woman who's body was found behind a Jackson church Tuesday.

All those stories and much more are headed your way.

Please join us from 5 to 7 and for more Mississippi News Now you can find it on Fox 40 from 7 to 9.

Have a great hump day!
