(WMC-TV) - The assistant principal at an elementary school in Germantown offered to shave his head in an effort to motivate students. It worked. Now, Assistant Principal Chris Manguso is getting used to a new look.
Manguso agreed to shave his head if the students at Riverdale Elementary School met their goal of selling 1,200 coupon books during a school fundraiser.
"It was about two days left and we still had over 600 books left and do I decided to up the ante and opened my big mouth and said, 'If you guys reach your goal of 1,200 ... I'll shave my head," said Manguso, who also had Principal Joseph Bond's support.
"A team player most definitely taking one for the team so to say," said Bond.
Manguso had to follow through ... because the students did their part, and then some.
