KOSCIUSKO, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Kosciusko Police have made an arrest in a Wednesday home invasion. Twenty-seven year-old Channing "Buck" Kern was arrested Thursday morning and is charged in two separate incidents.

Kern is charged with strong arm robbery, armed robbery and kidnapping stemming from incidents on September 7 and September 11.

Police say Kern broke into a young woman's home at 205 Peachtree St., around 6:45 a.m. Wednesday.

The woman was struck in the head with a small-caliber pistol, dragged to the bedroom, and bound and gagged, according to police.

Investigators say the man then took the woman's debit card and forced her into her car. They drove to a bank where the man forced the woman to give her PIN number. He withdrew $800 just before 7 a.m.

The man then drove the victim to Tipton Street, cut the binds on her hands and drove away.

At 7:25 a.m., the suspect went to another bank and withdrew $200. He was captured on surveillance video at the ATM.

Police believe the suspect was traveling in a White Toyota Corolla.

The woman required stitches to her forehead and was very shaken. Investigators say she wasn't sexually assaulted.
