Nation pauses on 9/11 to pay tribute to victims

"Hump Day" Wednesday is here and it's still summertime hot in the Jackson metro area. I'm Howard Ballou with a look at some of the news stories you will see on WLBT.

In lower Manhattan, time stood still at the World Trade Center site while families wept for loved ones who perished in the terror attacks 12 years ago and Mississippians joined in the nation in observances.

Also, Kosciusko police are searching for a suspect after a woman was kidnapped from her home and robbed this morning.

And the Pearl Police Department has made one arrest and identified another suspect in the theft of several tablets from Walmart Sept. 2.

In sports, Grambling has fired legendary football coach, Doug Williams.
