Adrian club busted for distributing marijuana illegally

Posted: Updated:
ADRIAN, MI (Toledo News Now) -

Officials raided a club in Adrian that they claim was a marijuana dispensary breaking the law.

Cash, marijuana, and marijuana-based food products were taken during a narcotics raid of a ‘compassion club' in downtown Adrian.

Michigan State Police say the owners do have a license to distribute marijuana, but say they were selling it to people who were not their registered patients.

Several people involved with the club say they don't believe they did anything wrong. They say they're working with the city and do not plan to close. They plan to continue to offer support groups and informational sessions for the community.

MSP says the case has been turned over to the prosecutor and several people could face felony drug charges.
