Arrest made in Kosciusko home invasion, kidnapping

Kosciusko Police have made an arrest in a Wednesday home invasion. Twenty-seven year-old Channing "Buck" Kern was arrested this morning and charged in two separate incidents.

Plus, the Jackson Zoo was denied accreditation Sunday by the Association of Zoo and Aquariums Accreditation Committee at the annual conference in Kansas City, Missouri. But the Zoo is appealing and remains accredited during the appeal process.

Also, Hinds County interim District Two supervisor Alphonso "Al" Hunter has registered to run for his position as an Independent. Hunter had said he would not run for the position when appointed.
