LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Actress and singer Pia Zadora accepted a plea deal Wednesday in connection with her arrest after police were called to her home in June.
Zadora was arrested after someone called police June 1 and said Zadora was going crazy and choking him, according to an arrest report from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
According to the arrest report, Zadora sprayed members of her family with a water hose after they refused to sleep. It said the actress may have also scratched someone when she tried to get the phone away from them when they called 911.
Police said that when they arrived at Zadora's home, they ordered people out of a bedroom, but when the people refused, a SWAT team was called to the scene.
On Wednesday, Zadora's attorney appeared in court on her behalf, and accepted a 30-day, suspended sentence. It means the actress must stay out of trouble or she'll be jailed for a month. Zadora must also complete a counseling course, according to the terms of the deal.
Zadora, 61, first gained fame as a child actor on Broadway, starring in Fiddler on the Roof in the mid-1960s. She later won a Golden Globe award for her performance alongside Stacy Keach and Orson Welles in the 1981 film Butterfly. Zadora additionally was nominated for a Grammy award in 1984 for the song Rock It Out.
According to her online bio, Zadora has been married to a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department detective since 2005.
