Vigil for victim shot 12 times

Good Monday morning from MSNewsNow's Brandon Artiles and I hope you enjoyed the weekend's beautiful weather!

And starting the day at a chilly 59 egress it looks like that beautiful weather will stick around for a little while. Meteorologist Michael Haynes will tell us all about it in his First Alert Forecast.

Happening now, Jackson Police continue to look for answers in another homicide this morning. William Brown is dead after being shot at least 12 times, and in a candle light vigil for Brown last night family and friends are pleading for help.

Plus, the numbers are in and research in the fight against children's cancers is nearly $1 million stronger following the 2013 St. Jude Dream Home giveaway.  The winner was announced Sunday and we'll have details at the top of the hour.

And in international news, the standoff in Kenya involving an Al Qaeda linked group of Islamic militants is now in it's third day. We'll check in to see how close the situation is to coming to an end.

All those stories and much more are headed your way.
